Narí chair by Andrea Pedrali for Pedrali

Nari chair by Andrea Pedrali for Pedrali

Dezeen Showroom: created by designer Andrea Pedrali in homage to his grandfather, Narì is an outdoor armchair that nods to the designs of the Pedrali brand’s past.

The chair is informed brand’s earliest designs — the Serenella forged iron garden chair of the 1960s — but gives it a contemporary touch with a tubular steel frame and woven detailing.

The Nari chair was created in tribute to Pedrali’s past designs

The legs of the Serenella chair, which were originally hand forged and bent in iron, are echoed with double steel tubing in Narì.

The woven PVC and nylon cord wrapped around the armrests and back recalls the fan-shaped geometry in the backrest of the older design.

The stackable chair is completed with a polyurethane foam cushion covered with removable outdoor fabric and is available with the frame finished in brown, boney, green or beige.

Andrea Pedrali created the Narì chair to pay tribute to his grandfather, Mario Pedrali, who founded the Pedrali brand in Italy 60 years ago.
