Dezeen Showroom: featuring chrome-free leather, workplace furniture brand Humanscale designed the Summa x Maribo executive chair to provide refinement and comfort for the office.
Humanscale created the Summa x Maribo chair to be luxurious and “effortlessly simple”, with a concealed weight-compensating reclining mechanism and a discreet lever for height adjustment.
Designed to have uninterrupted fluid lines, the chair features a bentwood shell seat that curves up at the sides to form comfortable armrests and give a supportive sensation.
“Summa boasts a defined aesthetic and sophisticated palette that is well-suited to high-end executive spaces within the workplace,” said Humanscale.
The chair’s metal base has a Chrome 3 finish and its seat is upholstered in Maribo leather, which is tanned in an alternative process that eliminates chromium, a harmful chemical used in most tanning methods.
The Summa x Maribo chair is available with two different back options and eight colours of leather.
